January
- Average high
- 71.8°F
- Average low
- 49.5°F
- Rain days
- 4.0
- Rain total
- 2.48 in
What to pack. Layers. Mornings can start in the 50s, so bring a light jacket for the first rides and the walk back to the resort. Pants for the kids, shorts in the pocket for the afternoon. Comfortable shoes matter more than anything else on this list.
February
- Average high
- 74.9°F
- Average low
- 52.4°F
- Rain days
- 3.8
- Rain total
- 2.04 in
What to pack. Same plan as January: a light jacket for early mornings and evenings, shorts for midday. Pack a poncho anyway. A quick shower does happen, and a poncho from home beats waiting in a gift shop line.
March
- Average high
- 78.9°F
- Average low
- 55.8°F
- Rain days
- 4.0
- Rain total
- 3.03 in
What to pack. Spring break weather is lovely, and the afternoons start to feel warm. Think shorts and tees with one light layer. Sunscreen goes in the bag now, not later.
April
- Average high
- 83.6°F
- Average low
- 60.7°F
- Rain days
- 3.9
- Rain total
- 2.58 in
What to pack. Warm and mostly dry. Pack for sun first: hats, sunscreen, sunglasses and a refillable water bottle. Keep one light layer for air-conditioned rides and restaurants.
May
- Average high
- 88.4°F
- Average low
- 66.3°F
- Rain days
- 5.7
- Rain total
- 4.02 in
What to pack. Hot, and the afternoon storms begin to show up. Breathable clothes, a hat, and a small poncho for each person. Shoes that dry fast are a great call.
June
- Average high
- 90.8°F
- Average low
- 71.6°F
- Rain days
- 11.5
- Rain total
- 8.05 in
What to pack. Hot and humid with a storm most afternoons. Pack two pairs of shoes so one can dry overnight, a poncho for everyone, and a small towel. Plan a midday break at the resort pool.
July
- Average high
- 92.0°F
- Average low
- 73.2°F
- Rain days
- 11.5
- Rain total
- 7.46 in
What to pack. The hottest and wettest stretch. Moisture-wicking clothes, spare socks and a dry bag for your phone. Ask yourself: where is the shade and the air conditioning when a storm rolls in?
August
- Average high
- 91.6°F
- Average low
- 73.7°F
- Rain days
- 11.5
- Rain total
- 7.69 in
What to pack. Same as July, with the heat sticking around. Cooling towels are a favorite for kids. Pack extra clothes for the park bag and check the forecast for storms before you leave the resort.
September
- Average high
- 89.6°F
- Average low
- 72.4°F
- Rain days
- 9.2
- Rain total
- 6.37 in
What to pack. Still hot, still stormy, and it is hurricane season. Pack like July and keep an eye on the forecast. This is a month where trip protection and a flexible plan are worth a quick chat with me.
October
- Average high
- 84.7°F
- Average low
- 66.2°F
- Rain days
- 5.3
- Rain total
- 3.46 in
What to pack. Heat eases and the rain days drop. Shorts are still the default, with a light layer for the evenings. Halloween parties mean costumes, so leave a little room in the suitcase.
November
- Average high
- 78.3°F
- Average low
- 58.2°F
- Rain days
- 3.0
- Rain total
- 1.79 in
What to pack. My favorite kind of packing: easy. Shorts in the afternoon, a light jacket for the evening, and comfortable shoes. The mornings can be cool, so ask yourself whether the kids will want long sleeves.
December
- Average high
- 73.8°F
- Average low
- 52.9°F
- Rain days
- 3.7
- Rain total
- 2.48 in
What to pack. Mild days and cool nights, with the occasional cold snap. Pack layers, a warmer jacket for evenings, and a hat and gloves just in case. Holiday photos look great in a coordinated outfit, if that is your thing!

How to Read It
Highs and lows are the average for the month, and a rain day is days with 0.10 inch or more of precipitation. Summer storms tend to arrive in the afternoon and pass, so a rainy month does not mean a washed-out day. Ask yourself which part of your day can flex.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where does this weather data come from?
NOAA's U.S. Climate Normals for 1991 to 2020 at Orlando International Airport, read on 12 Oct 2026. Walt Disney World sits about 20 miles southwest of that station, so a given afternoon can run a little different.
What counts as a rain day?
A day with 0.10 inch or more of precipitation. Light sprinkles that do not reach that mark are not counted, and a storm that lasts twenty minutes counts as a full day.
Is this a forecast?
No. These are 30-year averages, so they tell you what a typical month looks like. For the week you are going, check the forecast from the National Weather Service a few days out.
